Help us create a flower/herb garden on the grounds of APH that will appeal to all the senses, not just the visual. We’ll plant a multi-purpose garden that includes vegetable and herb plants, decorative annuals with interesting textures and high-contrast colors, and explore some of the special techniques used by gardeners who are blind. We’ll also travel to the Kentucky School for the Blind, next door, to see an established garden which includes plants that appeal to the sense of touch (lamb’s ears), smell (lilac), sound (grasses), and taste (chocolate mint). Ages 8 and up. Call 899-2213 by May 7 to register.
