This is a special occasion for families to creatively explore the museum’s current exhibitions and celebrate Abraham Lincoln in unique and exciting ways.
Join Louisville artist Ed Hamilton at 1:00 p.m. in the museum’s auditorium as he discusses his artistic journey towards creating the Louisville Waterfront Park Lincoln Memorial. A book signing will follow.
Additional activities will include: creating Lincoln stove pipe hats and beards, family sculpture projects, Contra Dancing by Time Travel Music and Dance, giveaways, 19th century fiddling performances within the exhibition by Joanna Hay, and sculpting demonstrations by Louisville artist William Duffy.
Admission to the lecture, exhibitions, and family day events is free. Art Sparks will be FREE all day!
