Carmichael's is pelased to host a discussion and book-signing with journalist and author Kelsey Timmerman for his book Where Am I Wearing?: A Global Tour to the Countries, Factories, and People that Make Our Clothes. This event is Carmichael’s prelude to the Green Convene, a community-wide event to be held at Glassworks on February 20th and 21st (visit greenconvene.org). Kelsey Timmerman's book was conceived when he learned that 97% of American's clothes are made overseas. The result of his quest to find his clothes' origins is and informative, unforgettable, but never preachy book that bridges the gap between the impersonal economic forces of globalization and the people across the world who are most affected by them. Bring a list of countries of origin of the clothes you wear, and we'll give a free copy of the book to the person with the most different countries represented.
