The Butchertown Neighborhood Association has announced the date for the Butchertown Art Fair and the Thomas Edison House Garden Tour of Butchertown.
These events will take place on Sunday, June 26, 2005. The Art Fair will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. RAIN OR SHINE on the block of Webster Street between Story Avenue and East Washington Street.
The Butchertown Art Fair has over 40 booths featuring paintings,
sculptures, antiques, crafts and jewelry created by Louisville-area
artisans. This event is non-juried and will be held rain or shine. Artwork and antiques will also be on display in the courtyard of historic Bakery Square. Food will be provided by St. Joe?s Church and kid?s booths will also be available. Sponsors for this event St. Joseph?s Church, CurrentMarketing and Swift & Company.
The Thomas Edison House Garden Tour of Butchertown, which offers insight on unique methods of gardening in the urban landscape, will also take place on Sunday, June 26, 2005 and will be open from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. The tour begins at Thomas Edison House at 729-31 East Washington Street. Admission is charged and reservations are available. Trolley rides will be available to and from both events.
