The Brown Hotel invites classical music lovers to enjoy Sunday Tea in the Grand Lobby. A weekly tradition at The Brown Hotel, the Sunday Classical Hour is free to the public from 4:00 to 5:00 pm and features Ms. Nada Loutfi playing the music of the greatest piano composers.
Ms. Loutfi is a native of Beirut, Lebanon, and a heralded pianist in her homeland. She is the founder of the Purely Piano series and has been a featured soloist of The Louisville Orchestra's MasterWorks Series and performs internationally.
The prix fixe tea menu accompanies the beautiful music. The Brown Hotel Executive Chef Laurent Géroli has created a new fall tea menu with gourmet savory finger sandwiches of crème fraîche chicken salad, proscuitto melt on toasted baguette, and roasted pepper with goat cheese on olive bread. The menu also features a sweet course of cranberry scone, lemon curd cup cake, peach frangipane tart, coconut chocolate shooter, and a selection of fine tea served in the Grand Lobby. The cost is $18 per person plus 6% sales tax and 20% gratuity. The Sunday tea seating is at 3:30 pm. Advance reservations for the tea are required, and may be made by calling (502) 736-2996.
“The Grand Lobby is a magnificent setting to enjoy classical music,” said Brown Hotel assistant general manager Guy Genoud. ”Our lovely afternoon tea has become a very popular weekly event.”
