The Brown Hotel announces a Spanish Wine Dinner, 7:00 pm, Friday, September 10, 2010, in The English Grill. The guest speaker will be Javier Schoendorff, Vice President Sales and Marketing at The Zamora Americas.
The Zamora Americas is a subsidiary of Zamora International, a Spanish company responsible for the distribution of the Diego Zamora's portfolio including Ramon Bilbao and Volteo wines and Villa Massa limoncello. Javier has been an international wine and spirit expert for 11 years, who now travels throughout the United States educating the trade and consumers on the award-winning wine portfolio from Ramon Bilbao. The selected wines for pairing with the dinner are Mar de Frades Albarino 2006, Cruz de Alba Crianza 2005, Ramon Bilbao Limited 2006, and Ramon Bilbao Gran Reserva 2005.
The event will begin with an exciting tapas reception in the J. Graham’s Café at 7 pm complete with Spanish guitar music and a Flamenco dance performance.
The pairing dinner created by The Brown Hotel Executive Chef Laurent Géroli, and his four-diamond culinary staff begins with tapas of Gazpacho Andaluz, Cod Frita with Saffron Aïoli, Chorizo Sausage, and Manzanilla Olive Kebab. The dinner features Wild Hare Sausage with Smoked Cannelloni Beans, Sun-Dried Tomatoes and Cactus Prickle Pear with Fried Sage, followed by Braised Beef Short Ribs, Fresco Verde Peas, Idiazabal Queso with Chorizo Veal Sauce and Saffron Risotto, ending with a dessert of Orange Mousse Seville Style and Fig Chocolate Cake with Limoncello White Chocolate Cream Anglaise. The cost of the Wine Dinner is $59 per person plus tax and 20% gratuity. Seating is limited. Javier Schoendorff received his law degree from Universidad Autonoma de Madrid. He went on to become the Vice President of Osborne USA for five years before becoming the International marketing Director for Williams & Humbert prior to his current position at The Zamora Americas.
