Kicking off the 2008 Kentucky State Fair concert schedule at 8 p.m. in Freedom Hall is the 2008 Academy of Country Music Top Vocal Duet Brooks & Dunn, who have won more than 30 awards highlighting their musical excellence. The duo will wow the crowd with songs from their latest albums “Cowboy Town” and “Hillbilly Deluxe.” ZZ Top will be sharing the stage with Brooks & Dunn and special guest Rodney Atkins who won the 2006 ACM award for the Top New Male Vocalist. Atkins is sure to let the audience know that they are his people when he performs hits such as “Watching You” and “Cleaning This Gun” from his platinum album “If You’re Going Through Hell.”
