For those who love a good time, it doesn’t get better than this—live entertainment, great food and a wide variety of microbrews, all at a great location … the Louisville Zoo!
Produced by Friends of the Zoo, the fourth annual Brew at the Zoo will be held Aug. 25 from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Louisville Zoo Oasis field. It will feature beer tasting from more than 20 local and regional breweries and food and wine tasting from more than 30 local restaurants and vendors. A selection of non-alcoholic products and water will also be provided. (Food is available from 4 to 6:30 p.m. and beer and wine tasting is available until 8:30 p.m.)

Price includes admission to the Zoo, live music, brew and food samplings and official Brew at the Zoo 4 oz. tasting glass.
Proceeds benefit the Louisville Zoo, which is dedicated to bettering the bond between people and our planet by providing excellent care for animals, a great experience for visitors and leadership in scientific research and conservation education.
“This event, which has grown each year, has brought more than 2,000 guests to the Zoo in the past. This year, we are hoping for more than 2,500 people,” said Audrey Hourigan, Friends of the Zoo board member.
Live music at the event will include Stompbox and Two Guys Having Fun. Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets on which to lounge while enjoying the music.
Do you feel lucky? New this year at Brew at the Zoo is hot dice to go with your cold beer.
“Besides tasting great food and brew, you can try your hand at Parrot Dice Casino with black jack and roulette,” Hourigan said. “And there will also be chances to win one of several fantasy raffle packages in which each participating brewery, restaurant and vendor has contributed items or gift certificates.”
