Officials of Breeders' Cup Ltd. and the NTRA have announced the race order, post times and wagering menu for the 23rd Breeders' Cup World Championships, to be held on Saturday, November 4 at Churchill Downs in Louisville.
There will be a total of 10 races on the Breeders' Cup Day program. The eight Breeders' Cup Championships races, televised live by ESPN (12:00– 7:00 p.m., ET), will feature total prize money exceeding $20 million. The day's first two races are the Emirates Airline Ack Ack Mile stakes race at 11:15 a.m. ET; followed by the Emirates Airline Very Subtle Stakes at 11:45 a.m. The post time for the first Breeders' Cup Championship race, the $2 million Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies, will be at 12:30 p.m.; $2 million Bessemer Trust Breeders' Cup Juvenile (1:10 p.m.); $2 million Emirates Airline Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf (1:55 p.m.); $2 million TVG Breeders' Cup Sprint (2:35 p.m.);
$2 million NetJets Breeders' Cup Mile (3:15 pm.);$2 million Emirates Airline Breeders Cup Distaff (3:55 p.m.); $3 million John Deere Breeders' Cup Turf (4:35 p.m.) and the $5 million Breeders' Cup Classic – Powered by Dodge - at 5:20 p.m.

Each Breeders' Cup World Championships race will feature a maximum of 14 horses and wagering interests. In addition to the standard Win, Place and Show betting, there will be Exacta, Trifecta and Superfecta wagering on all 10 races; rolling Pick 3 wagers, and two Pick 4s. There will also be three Daily Doubles. For the first time the Pick 4s will have guaranteed gross pools, with the early Pick 4 having a $1 million guarantee and the late Pick 4 guaranteed for $1.5 million.
The Breeders' Cup Ultra Pick 6, with a minimum $3 million guaranteed pool, begins with the Emirates Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf (Race #5) and runs through the Classic – Powered by Dodge. In 2003, the Ultra Pick 6 produced a single winner, Graham Stone, who cashed a winning wager worth over $2.7 million. That payoff almost matched the world record Ultra Pick 6 payoff in 1999 of $3.1 million.
