    The Bluegrass Art Experience, on May 26, 27, 28, 2012 at Churchill Downs Infield, is a family friendly, multifaceted art festival which offers a unique environment to showcase the vast variety of art being created in Kentucky and the region. Designed to entertain as well as enlighten, this free event will also be used as a platform to raise money and create public awareness of several nonprofit organizations.  Come out to Churchill Downs this weekend and check it out!

    Arts and Entertainment

    *A performing arts stage will be set up for music, dance, theater, spoken word, and comedy.

    *50 to 75 individual tented booth spaces for artist to display and sell their work.

    There will be "Gallery Tents" which give specific art galleries a chance to add their own unique ambiance to the flavor of our festival.

    *There will be a large movie theater style film tent where the public can view the works of local independent film makers.

    *The Hunter S. Thompson tent will highlight the literature and writers of the Bluegrass State, with book signings and readings from some of Kentucky's leading contemporary writers.

    Wine and Spirits

    *Event goers who are 21 and over will enjoy the many libations which Kentucky has become famous for.

    Kentucky School of Art at Spalding University is a proud sponsor of this exciting event in its first year.

    Giving Back

    *Habitat for Humanity. To show our support for Habitat for Humanity, art created by local artists from materials donated to the Habitat for Humanity Restore will be prominently displayed throughout the festival area.

    *Home of the Innocents. An entire area of the festival will be dedicated to raising money and awareness to help further the work they do for our community. This child-friendly area will house an art-making and activities tent with a children's literature section. A storytelling and writing workshop will also be available. A silent auction of art work produced by the children from Home of the Innocents will be held twice daily with all of the proceeds going directly to the organization.

    *Wounded Warriors. Art work from the veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan will be displayed throughout the event and auctioned daily with all proceeds going to Wounded Warriors. There will also be space given to provide information to the public about Wounded Warriors and to receive donations.

    *ASCC / Louisville AIDS Walk. AIDS awareness is a cause that is very near and dear to Chez Moi Productions. As the creators of The Bluegrass Art Experience, we feel it is our duty to assist the ASCC and the Louisville AIDS Walk in any way we possibly can. Donation and education booths will be distributed throughout the event.

    *Fairness Campaign. The Bluegrass Art Experience is proud to partner with the Fairness Campaign in order to promote a fair and equal society.
