Cralle-Day Garden, behind the Center for Kentucky History
KHS will kick off the Bill Monroe centennial with bluegrass and barbecue in the garden just before what would have been the musician’s 99th birthday. Join bluegrass scholar Tom Adler as he interviews and presents performances by Jim Smoak and Danny Jones, former members of Bill Monroe’s band, the Blue Grass Boys, and master bluegrass musicians Michael Cleveland, Larry Raley and Steve Cooley. Free with admission. Contact Mark Brown at 502-564-1792 for more information.
