Few things are as exhilarating as a brisk fall hike by the light of a moon. There is something about the cool night air, the glow of the moon through bare branches and the crunch and smell of fallen leaves. Animals are busy in the evening hours preparing themselves for the cold winter months ahead. We invite you to join us for our night programs as the temperatures drop. Wrap up – while these hikes may not be the warmest opportunities to visit Bernheim, they are among the most beautiful! Our night programs are timed to start near sunset. They cover open territory but not necessarily established trails. Please dress for the weather and call between 3:00 and 4:30 on the day of the program to find out about last minute changes due to the weather. Cloud cover will not cancel night programs but severe rain might!
