We are holding a benefit for TJ Compton, a 7yr old boy that has a brain tumor.
95% of this tumor has been removed, but the prognosis for him is poor.
The doctors feel that the tumor may return within 1 year.
The type of tumor he has is GDM type 4. Only 9% of children with tumors have this type. It is fast forming and not easily treated.
TJ is currently undergoing chemotherapy to reduce the tumor. His treatments stop the first part of September. He will then have an MRI in 30 days after therapy stops to determine if the tumor has shrunk or not.
The chemotherapy that TJ is receiving is not the type that is effective on this tumor, due to the fact that he has hemorrhaged before and that chemo causes that. So they opted to use this form instead.
They live in Pine Knot KY but are currently staying at the Ronald McDonald house in Cincinnati Oh. To be close to TJ.
They have children that still reside with relatives in Pine Knot.
Neither parent is working, they have no insurance and desperately need assistance.
What I am asking of your business is anything we may auction off at TJ’s benefit.
We are not a non profit organization, but, all proceeds go for TJ Compton’s medical bills, equipment, and any left will go to the American Cancer Society.
This benefit is being held September 19th, 2009 at Shively Park and Shively City Hall in Shively Ky.
