    On Saturday, September 8, 2007 at 7:30PM, New York- based Jazz for Peace featuring internationally acclaimed jazz pianist, vocalist and composer Rick DellaRatta, will celebrate the 5th Anniversary of their landmark United Nations Concert (which united Israeli, Palestinian, and American Jazz musicians in what is now recognized worldwide as "one of the single most significant cultural events of our time!") with a benefit concert to raise funds for The Arcadia Community Center. This event is part of an extensive world tour for Jazz for Peace.


    The benefit will take place at the Jazz Factory located at 815 W. Market Street in Louisville, KY. Tickets will be $35.00 at the door and are available at a discount price for $25.00 in advance or online at www.jazzforpeace.org or www.jazzfactory.us Tickets purchased online will be available at the door prior to the event.  Food and Drinks will be available for purchase.


    The Arcadia Community Center is a non-profit organization that exists to empower families by providing holistic services that help them reach self-sufficiency and independence.     Rick DellaRatta and Jazz for Peace are working to continue the benefit concert series, expanding its performances around the globe; to bring jazz back into the schools and expose Americans to one of its greatest art forms; and to donate musical instruments to underprivileged children and schools. Over the past year, Jazz for Peace has played concerts across many of the finest jazz venues in the United States for numerous non-profit organizations and garnered support and praise from distinguished Americans such as Senator John McCain, Congressman Dennis Kucinich, New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg and activist Noam Chomsky. In addition Jazz for Peace concerts have been attended and enjoyed by ambassadors, celebrities, humanitarians, and of course music lover’s worldwide of all ages and nationalities.
