Actors Theatre of Louisville’s Apprentice/Intern Company proudly presents The Belvedere, a performance piece conceived, written, and directed by Company member Brittany Parker. The Belvedere will be performed in the Belvedere at the Louisville Riverfront Monday, September 28 at 12:45pm. The performance is free to the public and tickets are not required.
Based on Clifford Odets’ plays Awake and Sing and Waiting for Lefty, The Belvedere focuses on the current recession, and explores the idea of finding hope in one’s community amidst an economic crisis. Arriving on the heels of the one year anniversary of Lehman Brothers, Inc’s bankruptcy filing, The Belvedere asks members of the Louisville community to examine their own personal definitions of recession, and their ability to thrive in difficult times.
