In Spring 2008, the Belle of Louisville opened a new
interpretive center depicting the three lives of the Belle, along with
signage identifying the historic features still in operation on the
steamboat. The Belle's History Committee spent a full year compiling photos
    and verbiage for the exhibits.

On May 7, 2009, Linda Harris, Belle CEO, and Kadie Engstrom, Belle Education
Director, will go to  Frankfort to accept two Kentucky Historical Society
awards for the Belle exhibit.  The first is an Award of Merit from the
"Education Program for the Public" category, and the second is a
Certificate of Commendation from the "Museum Exhibition" category.

The Belle of Louisville will begin her regular season at the end of May and
will run through the end of October.  The interpretive exhibit is a
permanent fixture on the Belle and open for all passengers to explore during
cruises.  The Belle's website (www.belleoflouisville.org) lists all
    available cruises.
