Tobi Stoner was stone-cold to the Louisville Bats on Thursday night.

The Buffalo right-handed pitcher gave up only one run over seven innings as the Bisons beat Bats 6-1 at Louisville Slugger Field.

Stoner (2-4) gave up eight hits - including a solo homer to Todd Frazier in the seventh inning - and also struck out five in helping hand Louisville (13-21) its second straight loss after five wins in a row.

Buffalo (19-15) matched the Bats with eight hits, but the Bisons scored all of their runs via the long ball off Louisville starter Travis Wood (1-4).

Catcher Jean Luc Blaquiere hit a pair of homers - a three-run shot in the fourth and a solo in the sixth - and Mike Jacobs hit a two-run homer in the fifth.

The Bats' lone run came on Frazier's third big fly of the season. Catcher Corky Miller led the Louisville batters, going 3-for-3.

The Bats begin an eight-game road trip at 7:05 p.m. Friday night at Rochester.
