Learn the basics of metalsmithing and jewelry making. Students will learn to cut shapes from sheet using a jewelers saw, learn to bend and shape wire, learn soldering techniques and learn how to finish and patina metal as they create their own unique jewelry. Project possibilities include pendants, earings, and simple rings. The primary goal of this class is to learn how to use the tools and the basic techniques associated with metalsmithing to create jewelry. Classes limited to 12 students, so register early!
Instructor: Aerie Meredith, B.F.A. in Fine Arts from Murray State University. Aerie has taught Metalsmithing for over seven years.
