The Museum of the American Printing House for the Blind (APH), located at 1839 Frankfort Avenue, will host a free performance by Grammy Award-nominated American country music artist Terri Gibbs on Saturday, June 5 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This event, as part of APH’s “Bards and Storytellers” annual arts, folklore, and performance series, celebrates the historical traditions of entertainers with vision loss. As part of the program, Doug Boyd, Director of the Oral History Program at the University of Kentucky, will engage in a discussion with Terri, so that the audience will not only have a chance to enjoy her talent, but will learn something about the personal events and forces that have shaped Terri’s career. For more information and to make a reservation by Thursday, June 3, contact Mike Hudson at (502) 899-2365 or mhudson@aph.org.
