Derby time is busy in the service industry. Working in a restaurant or even in retail can be hectic. So this year the Kentucky Restaurant Association decided to put together the B4 Derby Olympics to give restaurant workers a chance to blow off some steam before one of the busiest weekends in Louisville.
Fortunately you don't have to work at a restaurant to attend. Activities include riding a bourbon barrel with stirrups through an obstacle course while trying not to spill two mugs of beer, which most servers should have no problem with. Also on the agenda is the Brew Ha Ha, which involves full beers and a dolly ride, Cork Toss Relay, which involves a wine obstacle course, and a BBQ competition, open to professional chefs only.
This event is being held at Bowman Field in the Hangar on April 29th from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Click here for more details.
