Shamrock Pet Foundation hosts 13th annual
Art for the Animals on Aug. 6
Louisville, KY – On Thursday, August 6, 2009 from 6-9 p.m., the Shamrock Pet Foundation will host its 13th annual Art for the Animals event at the Mellwood Arts & Entertainment Center, 1860 Mellwood Ave. The silent and live auctions feature over 200 pieces of original art from more than 150 regional and national artists.
This year Shamrock will auction a wide variety of pet bowls designed and signed by local and national celebrities including Christina Aguilera, Chris Isaak, William Mapother, Valerie Bertinelli, the John Yarmuth team, Heather French Henry and all four local television stations.

An astounding 90 cents of every dollar raised by the Shamrock Pet Foundation goes directly to the care of animals. Shamrock is an all-volunteer organization and receives no tax dollars.

About the Shamrock Pet Foundation
The Shamrock Foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to end pet overpopulation, reduce the number of companion animals destroyed in local shelters, and to save or enhance the lives of animals in need in our community. This is accomplished through spay/neuter services, education, emergency medical assistance, rescue work, foster care, and the adoption of pets into loving lifetime homes. The organization is comprised entirely of highly committed, unpaid volunteers who have a passion for their mission and its goals.
