    Anti-Folk Fest
    Sunday, Oct. 9-Monday, Oct. 10

Anti-folk is a music genre related to punk rock and American folk music that originated in the mid-1980s in New York City (thanks to Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, for the definition). For a better peg, think Beck, Ani or Dan Bern. In Louisville, our fri/files/storyimages/Warren Ray has been hosting an anti-folk open mic night every Monday at Molly Malone’s for a while now. This weekend, however, the thing gets blown to hell: two days of anti-folk (Sunday-Monday, with two stages on Sunday). It starts at 3 p.m. on Sunday and at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. If the weather hurts the outdoor portion, it is rescheduled for Monday, Oct. 17. —Cary Stemle
