This season’s Speed Concert Series finale will feature the captivatingly dynamic Naughton sisters in a piano duo recital that is sure to impress.
Even at such a young age, Christina and Michelle
Naughton
already have imposing musical
résumés
. Encouraged by their mother to study music at age four, the
Naughtons
made their debut in the fourth grade as soloists with their hometown symphony, the Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra. Since then, they have graduated from the prestigious Juilliard School as well as the Curtis Institute of Music where they were both awarded enviable
Festorazzi
Prizes for Best Pianist of the Year.
These twin Steinway Artists have performed throughout the world sharing stages with the Philadelphia Orchestra, Buffalo Philharmonic, Nashville Symphony and Hong Kong Philharmonic to name but a few. Past seasons have also brought Christina and Michelle to chamber music halls in Boston, Washington, D.C., San Francisco and New York City where they currently reside. The sisters’ first album was released in 2012 on the
Orfeo
label and features music of
Mendelssohn

and

(which can be seen infallibly performed here).
Be sure to catch the
Naughtons
while they’re in town this weekend, even if it’s obvious there will be many, many more chances in the coming years to see these impeccable pianists tickle the ivories. The performance will take place this Sunday, March
30th
