The Kentucky Humane Society (KHS) will host its seventh annual ADOPT-A-THON September 15 - 17. This year's adoption event will be a three-day promotion instead of just two days, in the hopes of finding even more homes for more pets. The 2005 event found homes for 99 pets over just two days.

As if all this weren't enough, adopters get a wonderful new companion who's already been spayed or neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and given worm, flea and tick preventatives. All pets also undergo a behavior evaluation and general wellness exam.
Adoption is pending approval of an application process that usually takes an hour or less. As the largest animal adoption agency in the state, KHS provides the widest selection of pets in the area. Profiles and photos of all pets looking for homes are available for viewing online at www.kyhumane.org.
