I can hear it now from Papa John’s Stadium.  “All Hail to thee our UofL!” When the Cardinals make their much-anticipated ACC debut Monday, Sept. 1st, the Cards cheer will ring throughout the city.  Hosting Miami in their debut to the new conference, the game will be televised nationally by ESPN with an 8p.m. kick-off.

July 1st marks the date of Louisville’s official joining into the ACC.  The Cardinals will join the ranks of defending champion Florida State, Boston College, Clemson, NC State, Syracuse and Wake Forest in the Atlantic Division.

ACC Commissioner John Swofford said, "In addition to the overall schedule and season, we look forward to welcoming Louisville into the ACC and beginning our annual scheduling agreement with Notre Dame.”

Louisville looks forward to hosting the defending national champions, the Florida State Seminoles, at Papa John’s Stadium on Thursday, October 30th, in addition to hosting Wake Forest (Sept. 27th), NC State (Oct. 18th), and Kentucky (Nov. 29th).

Swofford said, “This is an exciting time in ACC Football, and as we look ahead to the 2014 season, it’s clear that our teams have once again combined for a strong lineup of nonconference opponents, along with our competitive league schedule," said

The season schedule culminates in a rivalry weekend with Louisville facing off with the Kentucky Wildcats.  As families come together for Thanksgiving weekend, the ACC has scheduled a plethora of rivalry matchups for families to make memories screaming at the television.

New year, new coach, new conference, the Cardinals have all new expectations waiting for them in the end zone.  Counting the rivalry game, Labor Day match up against Miami, and a strong lineup of nonconference play, the inaugural season into the ACC for the Cardinals is sure to meet expectations.
