Organizers of Abbey Road on the River will host a preview concert to benefit DuPont Manual’s Youth Performing Arts School on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 7:30pm. The concert will feature three bands - All You Need is Love from Canada, The Newbees from Cincinnati, and BritBeat from Chicago – performing a full set each, then for the finale they will “come together” to perform an excerpt from The Beatles’ Grammy Award-winning soundtrack album LOVE. The benefit will be held in the Main Stage Theater at the Youth Performing Arts School, located at 1517 South Second Street, and tickets are $12.00 for main floor seats and $10.00 for balcony seats. Benefit attendees will get a sneak peak of one of this year’s festival highlights – “The LOVE Album Live Concert” presented by Gretsch Guitars, which will be a full reenactment of the LOVE album, taking place at 9:45pm on Saturday, May 28.
Abbey Road On the River, North America’s largest and longest running Beatles tribute festival, will bring peace, love and rock-n-roll to Louisville, Kentucky over Memorial Day Weekend in 2011. The event will mark the tenth anniversary of the festival, three years in Cleveland, Ohio (2002-2004) and seven years in Louisville (2005-2011). The five day festival will be held at the Belvedere Festival Park and Galt House Hotel & Suites, from Thursday, May 26 through Monday, May 30, 2011.
