Show Features
CRUNCH
"Crunch" is an Alligator Snapping Turtle which is the world's largest freshwater turtle species. Crunch weighs in at 165lbs with a head over 9 ? inches wide and a body length of over 4 feet. He is estimated to be over 200 years old.
Crunch can be seen at the show daily in the South Wing exhibit area.

The Rosaire-Zoppe Chimps are the most respected and largest chimpanzee ensemble in the entertainment industry.
Representing eight generations of animal trainers and performers respected worldwide for the animal presentations, you will be genuinely amazed as they present this one-of-a-kind chimpanzee act featuring the world's only trick and fancy horse-back riding chimp.
The Rosaire-Zoppe chimps are third generation members of the P.R.C.A. and have been featured at Disneyland, The Tonight Show, Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey, Shrine Circuses and major rodeos throughout the U.S.
Bear Search & Rescue
What would you do if you were "Lost in the Woods"? Come meet Captain Scott Shields, co-author of Bear, Heart of a Hero, the story of America's most decorated rescue dog.
Captain Shields led SAR teams in Hurricane Katrina in Louisiana for the 82nd Airborne and is best remembered for leading the first search and rescue teams at the World Trade Center on September 11th where Bear was credited with making the most finds at Ground Zero.
Captain Shields and Bear's "son" Theodore, himself a SAR dog, will:
- Share valuable tips for what to do and not to do if you get Lost In the Woods
- Share stories about the two- and four-legged heroes at Ground Zero and Katrina other places.
- Talk about the work of the Bear Search and Rescue Foundation that deploys & funds training, equipping and transporting Search & Rescue Teams across the country.
Fishing and Hunting Seminars
Fishing and hunting seminars will be provided by professional anglers and guides. These will include hands-on demonstrations in casting, baiting and fishing techniques, presentations on understanding sonar, proper rod and lure selection, seasonal patterns for bass and other species. Hunting topics will include tips and techniques for successful game calls. Scheduled speakers include: Babe Winkelman, Russ Bailey, Micah Brown, Randall Gibson, Charlie Hildreth, Brad Weakley, Bill Epeards.
