The 22nd Annual Bourbon Ball, the Museum’s biggest fundraiser, will feature a delectable menu designed by four of Louisville’s Executive Chefs and a vast selection of silent auction items including travel packages, sports packages, and not-yet-released electronics. The event will take place on Friday, October 6th at the Brown & Williamson Club at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.

When asked what guests can expect at this year’s Ball, Chairperson Lisa Nash responded, “When you think of Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium you may think of football and hot dogs, but the feel and flavor at the Brown & Williamson Club for the 22nd Annual Bourbon Ball will be quite the opposite.”

There are a number of exceptional sports related packages in the silent auction, including tickets to the Nokia Sugar Bowl, the Alltel Gator Bowl, and 2 week long passes to the U.S. Open Golf Tournament which will be held in June at the Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania.

For the entertainment lovers in the crowd, the latest model of the Sony 32” XBR Flat Panel HDTV that is not available for sale to the public until October 1st will be featured. Other highlights for technology fans include 3 handheld Sony PlayStation Portable systems and the ultra sleek Sony Viao Notebook computer.

There will also be a number of vacation packages up for bid, including trips to St. Maarten, The Caymen Islands, Palm Coast, Fl, Nashville, New York, and New Orleans.

The dinner will be presented by Centerplate, a company that has been in business for over forty years providing catering, concessions, management and merchandise services.  Centerplate’s venues in Louisville include Papa John's Cardinal, Slugger Field, Kentucky International Convention Center, and the Kentucky Exposition Center. One of the highlights of the evening’s menu is the dessert, prepared by Chef Dan Baxter, Executive Chef Kentucky Exposition Center. The Bourbon Ball Bombe is a decadent chocolate cake with raspberry filling, covered in chocolate and topped with a sugared Pecan.
