
LOUISVILLE, KY - The Bisig Impact Group?s 14th annual Kentucky Reggae Festival will take place Saturday, May 28th and Sunday, May 29th at the Louisville Water Tower on River Road and Zorn Ave. For more than a decade the Reggae Festival has been the predominant Memorial Day entertainment event in Kentuckiana. Hours for the festival are 2:00 - 11:30 p.m. both days with live bands hitting the stage at 3:00, 6:00 and 9:00 p.m. The list of performers at the 2005 Kentucky Reggae Festival include Mighty Lions, World Force Reggae Band, Caribbean Conspiracy, Dem Reggae Bon, The Ark Band and Universal Expressions.
Parking for the event is FREE. Admission to the festival is $5 before 6:00 p.m. and $8 after 6:00 p.m. Children under the age of 10 will be admitted FREE.
The Jamaican Association of Louisville will once again take part in the festivities along with vendors such as Cafe Kilimanjaro. Throughout the weekend, patrons will have the opportunities to feast on flavorful Caribbean cuisine.
Along with music and food, the Reggae Festival will attract vendors from around the Southeast to its Caribbean Market. Treasure seekers and casual collectors can find many items such as arts, crafts, jewelry, beads and incense. Additional entertainment for children will be provided.
Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome, but patrons must leave pets, cans, coolers, bottles and food at home.
