Passion and dedication are traits farmers and chefs share as they work to bring the very best food to the table. To celebrate the tireless effort local farmers put into growing and raising excellent ingredients, the culinary team at Corbett’s, An American Place is hosting a “Meet the Farmers Dinner” on Wednesday, September 9. The four-course dinner will highlight local ingredients and provide an opportunity for guests to mingle with the people who dedicate their lives to bringing us great food. The meet-and-greet will be from 6 to 6:45 p.m. and dinner will served at 7 p.m. The cost is $55 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Wine pairings are available for an additional $20 per person.
“Summer is such a great season for so many flavors,” said executive chef Chris Howerton. “We depend on the farmers to give us the best ingredients. It really helps guide the menu and inspires creativity.”
Farms featured on the menu include Gallrein Farm of Shelbyville, Ky., Garey Farm of Paris, Ky., Triple J Farm of Georgetown, Ky., Grateful Greens of Louisville, Ky., Ol'Land Farm of Prospect, Ky., Waterworks Farm of Shelbyville, Ky., and Sunshine Farm of Prospect, Ky.
