Friday the 13th is luckier than you think! Push your superstitions aside and step out for this month’s InKY Reading Series as poets Adam Day and Brian Barker flex their literary muscles at The Bard’s Town this Friday, April 13th, at 8pm.
The University of Louisville invites you to step inside a literary time machine this week as the Axton Literary Festival explores time travel in the written word. The three day festival, featuring a multitude of speakers, workshops and activities, launches this Wednesday, April 11th and hopes to return to the present on Friday, April 13th.
Louisville poet, professor and Mr. Sarabandist-O himself, Jeffrey Skinner, brings his latest release, ‘The 6.5 Practices of Moderately Successful Poets: A Self-Help Memoir’ to Carmichael’s Bookstore this Thursday, April 5th, at 7pm.
April is National Poetry Month, and Carmichael’s will start the celebration with a host of Kentucky poets featured in the anthology, ‘Bigger Than They Appear: Anthology of Very Short Poems’. Along with the books’ editor, Katerina Stoykova-Klemer, the poetic gang will be at the Frankfort Avenue store Sunday, April 1st at 4pm.
