The Louisville Bats' stay in first place in the International League West lasted just one day as host Columbus rode three big innings to a 12-4 win over the Bats at Huntington Park on Friday night to retake first place in the IL West and end Louisville's eight-game win streak.
Jared Goedert's two-run double in the bottom of the eighth inning gave the Columbus Clippers a 9-8 come-from-behind victory over Louisville to end the Bats' 11-game winning streak.
For the fifth time in their last seven games, all of which have been on the road, the Louisville Bats hit at least three home runs in a game. They hit four more on Sunday to beat host Gwinnett 8-3.
