    Grey Goose Breeders' Cup Juvenile

Did so awful in the last one, I'm heading back to the Grey Goose suite for another Grey Goose Zenyatta.

    TVG Breeders' Cup Mile

Gambling tip: The hospitality suite for the company sponsoring that race will be empty. So I watched the last race trackside.

    Grey Goose Breeders' Cup

As for this race, it's Goldikova's (1) to win. Unless it's not. She's won this race the last three years, but lost her last two races. Gio Ponti, the 5, seems the best bet to upset the Frenchy. Right now they're at 6-5 and 6-1 respectively. That being said...

    $0.50 trifecta 1, 5 / 1, 5 / 1-13. Cost of wager: $11.

So, 64-1 Court Vision won that race. No shame in missing that call.

What there is shame in is my current condition. For months I've been cracking jokes about the mom of one of my colleagues. Not just any jokes. I wrote a song about her, accompanied by my kid's toy drum.

It's tradition for said colleague to provide me with snus when covering a big race at Churchill. So on the roof, when he was reaching into his tin, I asked for one.

Unbeknownst to me, said colleague has moved to a harsher brand of the stuff and this little Northeastern liberal elitist couldn't handle it.

Comeuppance would make a great name for a racehorse.

Profit/loss for the Breeders' Cup: -$100.40
