Capriole Farms in Greenville, Ind., and owner Judy Schad will host the goat dairy farm's annual open house at 1 p.m. today, Oct. 10. Guests will have a chance to tour the farm's grounds, see more than 500 goats and sample the farm's award-winning goat cheeses.
Special guests will also be on hand for lunch and beverage samplings. Chef Dean Corbett of the restaurants Equus and Jack's Lounge and Corbett's: An American Place will serve a barbecue meal of 30-hour slow-baked beef brisket, Texas baked beans, potato salad
and Texas toast. Greg Hall of Goose Island Brewery in Chicago will bring beer samplings for guests.
The Capriole Farm Store will also be open for guests to purchase the farm's goat cheeses, which include O’Banon and Wabash Cannonballs varieties.
