While some congressmen have recently proposed cutting funds to such government departments as the Department of Education and various ones involved with art, the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft will be profiling its appreciation for art education by exhibiting The Annual Scholastic Gold Key Awards Show, featuring over 200 award-winning works by local students.
The Scholastic show will premier at the February 4 Trolley Hop along with two other exhibits. KMAC will also be displaying Collecting Kentucky and Artists Collect. Both are a part of the museum’s recent additions to the permanent collection.
This tri-exhibit event will take place Friday, February 4, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. during the Trolley Hop. There will also be a wood turning demonstration and some crafts to make Valentine’s Day cards.
