  • "Tuesday night's debate between Democratic U.S. Rep. John Yarmuth and Republican challenger Todd Lally turned contentious several times as Lally tried to paint his opponent as little more than a liberal follower, and Yarmuth called Lally's comments 'ignorant and irresponsible.'" [Courier-Journal [4]]
  • "In an unanimous vote, the Clark County City Council approved a resolution against tolling as a means to pay for the $4.1 billion Ohio River Bridges Project — which seeks build an East End bridge, a downtown bridge and expand Spaghetti Junction. Last night, the southern Indiana county joined the New Albany City Council and Louisville Metro Council, which have already approved similar anti-tolling measure. A similar resolution against tolls, however failed to pass in the Jeffersonville City Council last month." [LEO Weekly [5]]
  • "St. Matthews has been granted a temporary waiver by the Federal Railroad Administration to stop noisy train horns from sounding at six railroad crossings in the city. CSX Transportation, which agreed to the waiver request by St. Matthews, has 21 days to stop blowing the horns, which have disturbed residents and businesses and provoked complaints."
