This run/walk kicks off Light Up Louisville, which is probably a rally in support of Kentucky's biggest cash crop. Proceeds from the inaugural event benefit the Baptist Hospital Foundation and its patient care and wellness services. The registration fee is $25 for adults and $10 for children under 12 and includes a t-shirt you can wear to show off how sporty you are.

Various spots downtown
Nov. 27, 3-10 p.m.
Christmas is the time when my 3/16 Jewish heritage manifests itself. I hate the entire season. Anyway, there's a whole bunch of stuff going on downtown Friday [4] that thankfully I'll be out of town for. My wife and I are expecting our first kid in late December, so I only have one more holiday season left for my disgust to be palpable before I have to start sucking it up. I plan on making the most of this year.

Nov. 27, 11 a.m.-10:30 p.m.
The monthly trolley hop has extended its hours for the start of the holiday season. Check out the hop's website [5] for info on some of the special events going on this Friday--highlights include a Maker's Mark tasting at The Wine Rack and belly dancing at It's All Greek to Me.
Make A Memory
Museum of the American Printing House for the Blind
1839 Frankfort Avenue
Nov. 28, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
This event sounds worthwhile and as I have nothing in the tank but snide today, I'm just going to copy and paste the description from the press release: "Make your own digital memories in our temporary recording studio set up in the historic Studio One (1936). Bring a loved one and sit down for a 15-minute recording session. Your finished disk will be ready to go as you leave. Free to the public." Call 502-899-2365 for details or to make a reservation.
Youth basketball
St. Gabriel School
5505 Bardstown Road
Nov. 28, 12:40 p.m.
The 3-1 third and fourth grade Razorbacks--fresh off sweeping a rare single-admission doubleheader last Saturday--are looking to have fun, learn basketball and win this weekend. Led by a solid inside-outside game, rebounding monsters down low and a brilliant coaching staff, the Razorbacks should be competitive despite not having a practice this week.
