Description: Enjoy refreshments and music by the Jamey
Aebersold Jazz Quartet at the opening reception
(free and open to the public) for "Possumhaw Plant Electrics: Drawings
and Videos by Julia
Oldham". During her time as Bernheim Arboretum's 2010 Artist in
Residence, Brooklyn, NY artist Julia Oldham created a series of videos
that combine science fiction and performance. She developed a fictional
identity as a technician for "Possumhaw Plant Electrics", a company that
specializes in measuring radio/electrical emanations from plant forms.
Under this guise, Oldham pursued a series of four strange experiments on
the arboretum grounds; the resulting videos and preliminary drawings

event featuring pint-sized horses competing in more than 60 classes
based on the size, gender and age of the horse. See these tiny horses
perform in categories such as Roadsters, Pleasure Driving, Costume,
Showmanship and Children's divisions. Perfect for any age, you'll be
delighted at these adorable mini equines.
