The couple’s most recent work focuses on botanica: leaves, pods,
buds, and seeds. Edols spends most of his time blowing glass using
Italian techniques he learned from Lino Tagliapietra, the Italian
maestro, and Elliott specializes in cold working techniques. Their work
has been exhibited in the U.S., Australia, Japan, Germany, England and
Italy. They live in Sydney, Australia.
The exhibit will open the week before Ingenious Possibilities,
the Glass Art Society’s 40th annual conference in Louisville from June
10 through 12, which features more than 50 glass art exhibits at venues
across the city.
“Having the Glass Art Society’s (GAS) annual conference in
Louisville gave us a chance to exhibit Ben and Kathy’s very striking
collaborations,” said Flame Run owner Brook White, a conference
co-chair.
Edols is doing a demonstration during the GAS conference and a
post-GAS conference workshop at Flame Run. The workshop opens at 9 a.m.
