Here’s two indie rock bands approaching the genre in their own way. Run River North leans towards a folkier sound, think The Decemberists, while The Lighthouse & The Whaler (a name drawn from Moby Dick) ignites a more electronic sound.

The electronic music pioneer, Eliot Lipp, has been denoted as one of the top 10 fastest rising DJs. Vibe says, “Lipp's omnivorous taste in music expands to include everything from electro to funk to indie to downtempo and trap." Joining Lipp is New York City hip hop artist, Blockhead.

Trishes runs in the same vein as other indie pop artists like, Lorde and Lana Del Rey. She does live vocal looping, synthesizer and beat boxing, so the show should be interesting!

Kaiju
Cincinnati band, Automagik, labels there genre of music as “Rocky Road Ice Cream” which isn’t too far off. Rocky road offers an explosion of sugar in your mouth just like Automagik explodes in your ears. They both leave you buzzed and hyperactive.
