It's hard to classify Zac Brown Band in one single genre. They rose to popularity with perfect country radio songs like "Chicken Fried" and "Toes." Since then though they merged into rock and with their most recent album, "Jekyll & Hyde," they played what seemed like every kind of music under the sun from EDM to country and rock and even big band.
Zac Brown Band will play all their different kinds of music on December 10 at KFC Yum! Center. This is the group's second concert at Louisville's downtown arena with the first appearance taking place in 2013.
An example of how truly diverse Jekyll & Hyde is the different kinds of people they worked with. The album features collaborations with Sara Bareilles and Chris Cornell (of Soundgarden), writing credits from Roger Waters (of Pink Floyd) and Eric Church, and a Jason Isbell cover.
Zac Brown Band's concert's take fans on a whirlwind of all kinds of sounds. Along with a mix of songs from all four of their albums, they will cover songs from artists like Metallica, The Beatles, The Marshall Tucker Band, Bruno Mars, Queen, The Charlie Daniels Band, John Mayer, Stevie Wonder, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and many more.
In an article published on September 16, Zac Brown told Rolling Stone, "I'm Southern as can be, but I'm a traveler of the world also. You become bits and pieces of all the places that you visit and spend time. So yes, I am country, but I'm also city when I need to be. I think in finding the line between those two things, the listenership has increased."
