Last year, Knob Creek [4] Bourbon hit a home run with a brand-new bourbon experience: The Knob Creek Campout [5]. The Knob Creek Camp Ground is on the Jim Beam Clermont Distillery property.
This was no typical campground. For starters, it’s at a bourbon distillery. Fred Noe [6], Seventh Generation Beam and the company’s Global Ambassador, drops by the campfire on the first night to tell stories. There’s fishing at Booker Noe’s favorite lake. Tents are already set up when you get there, so there’s no need to lug camping equipment. The porta-potties and showers are fancy trailers with running water and lights. Guests are treated to distillery tours and cocktail seminars, as well as endless bourbon to drink. And Michael Symon’s Saturday night pig roast is amazing. Even the marshmallows used for making s’mores are laced with bourbon.
There was a sweepstakes [7]earlier in the summer for camping spots, and the sweepstakes is closed. But the ability to bid on one last campsite is available on AirBNB [8]. This coveted space will go to someone who will soon become the happiest Knob Creek fan on Earth. Get your bids in soon before bidding is closed.
The luxury camping trip would be better categorized as glamping, though Booker might not approve of such language. No matter who ends up being chosen for this last camping spot, the Second Annual Knob Creek Campout [8] is sure to be an event no one will ever forget.
