Spring is finally in full swing here in the bluegrass and what better way to celebrate than with a delicious meal that highlights the best of what this season has to offer? I’m talking wine, five full courses, the works.
Critically acclaimed Chef Annie Pettry of Decca will host author and cooking instructor Patricia Wells for this celebration on Sunday, April 26, 2015. Patricia, who is the only female restaurant critic in France, teaches sold out cooking classes in Paris and Provence, applying an eclectic style to classic bistro cuisine. Chef Annie, as many of us locals know, is the executive chef of local powerhouse Decca, where food is sourced locally and a commitment to quality is the foundation to this amazing restaurant.
During this collaborative dinner, Chef Annie will showcase her interpretation of meals selected from Patricia’s 14 different cookbooks. The menu will include:
- Scallop Carpaccio with Lemon & Vanilla
- Salad of Spring Vegetables with Blue Cheese & Buttermilk Dressing
- Pan Roasted Duck with Olives
- Honey Lavender Ice Cream Sandwiches with Lemon Cookie & Cashew
Each course will pair back deliciously with wine from European Cellars, including one of Patricia’s own Clos Chanteduc Côtes du Rhône. Following dinner, Patricia will host a cookbook signing for guests as well.
