Rolan Whitt is a national headliner.  He plays rooms all over the country and draws some of the most enthusiastic crowds you’ll see in a club.  Whitt is a Louisville native who is now based out of Sin City, Las Vegas.  He has worked with some of the biggest names in the business, including work as a writer for former host The Tonight Show Jay Leno.

While Stand-up is his forte, he is a versatile performer who also does improvisation and hypnosis, apart from his comedy.  And when he’s not on the road he owns and runs a small independent film studio in Las Vegas.  And for the record “independent film studio” is not code for “Adult Entertainment” or “porn” – just in case your mind easily goes to dark places.

This weekend Whitt is going to be returning to his hometown of Louisville.  On-stage at The Bard’s Town he will be hosting a showcase highlighting some of the best talent the city that launched his career, has to offer.  It’s a way of giving back to the comedy community that hatched him.  Besides Whitt the show will also feature:

Jeff Davis – Jeff started in comedy thirty years ago, when the club scene was the coolest place on earth.  He rose through the ranks as a headliner and just before blowing-up he took a detour into the business world.  A few years ago he returned to the stage he’d left behind.

Jennifer Starr – Has been kicking around the comedy scene for quite some time, and is one of the funniest women to come out of Louisville, ever.

Doug Wiley – Is a fresher face, only having been circling the comedy drain for half-a-decade or so.

Pete Wolynec – One of the dry-est, sardonic comedians you’ll find this far east of The Cellar Door.

The show will be at The Bard’s Town, April 17th @ 8PM.  Tickets are $10.
