Don’t let those New Year’s resolutions fall to the wayside just because it’s February. Yes, Super Bowl Sunday just happened and you probably ate a pound of crescent roll dough. Yes, Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and your office is probably already drowning in chocolate. You know what else is right around the corner? Derby dresses. Warmer weather, which will call for bike rides in the park. Not to mention that February is American Heart Month, so now is the time to put the pedal to the metal, and your foot to the (bike) pedal.
One weapon in your battle-against-the-bulge arsenal: spin classes at Red Ride Fitness. The first one is free, and last Friday morning I rallied three of my most supportive friends and took advantage of their 6 a.m. spin class with new instructor, Spencer Jenkins. The four of us are at different levels of fitness (one ran a half marathon over the weekend, one hasn’t worked out in months) and all of us felt completely uplifted and worked out by this hour-long spin class.
In celebration of their 1-year anniversary, Red Ride Fitness is giving patrons the chance to “come spin, sweat, shred and smile” with Red Ride Fitness’s Change of Heart event. On February 11, 2015 Red Ride will hold three sessions, at 9:15 a.m., 6 p.m. and a reception to follow session 2. This event will consist of an hour-long spin to music provided by Louisville’s own BeatSmackers.
So start your engines and your warm-weather fitness regime a little early and come spin!
