How Louisville Natives & UofL Products Did in Week 15 of the NFL Season [2]

William Gay had another pick-six, Harry Douglas had his best game of the season and once again Elvis Dumervil added to his league-leading sack total. Those were just a few of the highlights for Louisville natives and University of Louisville products in Week 15 of the NFL season. Here’s a quick look at how they all did:

Louisville natives

Brandon Dunn (Chicago): The rookie defensive tackle, a Pleasure Ridge Park High School graduate and UofL product, was inactive for the Bears’ 31-15 loss to visiting New Orleans on Monday night. Chicago (5-9) hosts Detroit at 1 p.m. this coming Sunday.

Corey Peters (Atlanta): The fifth-year defensive tackle, a Central High School graduate and former University of Kentucky standout, tallied one tackle in the Falcons’ 27-20 loss to the visiting Steelers on Sunday afternoon. Atlanta (5-9) visits New Orleans at 1 p.m. this coming Sunday.

Alfonso Smith (San Francisco): The fifth-year running back, a Waggener High School graduate and former UK standout, saw his first carries of the season - he rushed four times for 6 yards - in the 49ers’ 17-7 loss at Seattle on Sunday. San Francisco (7-7), which has been eliminated from playoff contention, will host San Diego at 8:25 p.m. this Saturday night.

C.J. Spillman (Dallas): The sixth-year defensive back and special teams standout, a Central grad and former Marshall University standout, tallied one tackle in the Cowboys’ 38-27 win at Philadelphia on Sunday night. Dallas (9-5) hosts Indianapolis at 4:25 p.m. this coming Sunday.

Former UofL players

Gary Barnidge (Cleveland): The seventh-year tight end didn’t play in the Browns’ embarrassing 30-0 loss to Cincinnati on Sunday. Cleveland (7-7) plays at Carolina at 1 p.m. this coming Sunday.

Josh Bellamy (Chicago): The rookie wideout played, but didn’t register a reception in the Bears’ 31-15 loss to visiting New Orleans on Monday night. Chicago (5-9) hosts Detroit at 1 p.m. this coming Sunday.

Teddy Bridgewater (Minnesota): The rookie quarterback completed a career-best 31 of 41 passes for 315 yards and one touchdown with two costly interceptions in the Vikings’ 16-14 loss at Detroit on Sunday. Minnesota (6-8) visits Miami at 1 p.m. this coming Sunday.

Preston Brown (Buffalo): The rookie inside linebacker tallied six tackles in the Bills’ 21-13 win over visiting Green Bay on Sunday afternoon. Buffalo (8-6) visits Oakland at 4:25 p.m. this coming Sunday.

Harry Douglas (Atlanta): With Julio Jones out with a hip injury Douglas, the sixth-year wide receiver, tallied 10 catches for 131 yards (both season-highs) in the Falcons’ 27-20 loss to visiting Pittsburgh on Sunday afternoon. Atlanta (5-9) visits New Orleans at 1 p.m. next Sunday.

Elvis Dumervil (Baltimore): The outside linebacker, who is in his ninth season, had one tackle - his league-leading 17th sack - in the Ravens’ 20-12 win over visiting Jacksonville on Sunday. Baltimore (9-5) visits Houston at 1 p.m. this coming Sunday.

William Gay (Pittsburgh): The cornerback, who is in his eighth season, tallied a team-high tying eight tackles and also returned an interception 52 yards for a touchdown - his third pick-six of the season - in the Steelers’ 27-20 win at Atlanta on Sunday. four tackles in the Steelers’ 42-21 win at Cincinnati on Sunday. Pittsburgh (9-5) hosts Kansas City at 1 p.m. this coming Sunday.

Breno Giacomini (New York Jets): The seventh-year starting offensive tackle and the Jets beat host Tennessee 16-11 Sunday afternoon. New York (3-11) hosts New England at 1 p.m. this coming Sunday.

Senorise Perry (Chicago): The rookie running back played, but didn’t register a carry or tackle in the Bears’ 31-15 loss to visiting New Orleans on Monday night. Chicago (5-9) hosts Detroit at 1 p.m. this coming Sunday.

Bilal Powell (New York Jets): The fourth-year running back had one carry for 8 yards and two receptions for 10 in the Jets’ 16-11 win at Tennessee on Sunday afternoon. New York (3-11) hosts New England at 1 p.m. this coming Sunday.

Calvin Pryor (New York Jets): The rookie free safety tallied five tackles for the Jets in their 16-11 win at Tennessee on Sunday afternoon. New York (3-11) hosts New England at 1 p.m. this coming Sunday.

Marcus Smith (Philadelphia): The rookie linebacker was inactive for the Eagles in their 38-27 loss to visiting Dallas on Sunday night. Philadelphia (9-5) visits Washington at 4:30 p.m. this coming Saturday afternoon.

Byron Stingily (Tennessee): The fourth-year offensive tackle was inactive, due to an ankle injury, for the Titans in their 16-11 loss to the visiting Jets on Sunday afternoon. Tennessee (2-12), which has lost eight games in a row, visits Jacksonville at 8:25 p.m. Thursday night.

Eric Wood (Buffalo): The sixth-year center made his 77th consecutive start in the Bills’ 21-13 win over visiting Green Bay on Sunday afternoon. Buffalo (8-6) visits Oakland at 4:25 p.m. next Sunday.
