A holiday party quickly turns into a Whodunnit murder mystery in The Twelve Murders of Christmas, opening Saturday night.

The Twelve Murders of Christmas will take place each Saturday from Nov. 29-Dec. 20. Shows will also go on Dec. 5, 12, and Jan. 3. Seating for all shows will open at 6:30 p.m., and the performances will begin at 7 p.m. All performances are to happen at the Hilton Garden Inn, located at 2735 Crittenden Drive [4] near the Fair and Exposition Center in Louisville.

Tickets, which include dinner, show, gratuity, and tax, are $45.50 per person. Ticket purchases in advance are required and can be done by calling 502-426-7100. Private parties can also be booked through the same phone number. More information on both tickets and parties can be found at the Whodunnit Murder Mystery Theater [5]website.

The Twelve Murders of Christmas brings together six strangers to a seemingly extravagant holiday party at a luxurious mansion. At least, that's what they believe from the invitation. What they soon find out is that they locked in and are to murdered by someone among them. Can they figure out who would do such a thing?

The audience will help figure it out through watching the production for clues and asking the suspects directly. In between each scene, as the audience is served their roast turkey, baked salmon, or Portobello parmesan, the suspects will walk among the tables and answer questions from audience members related to the case. The suspects must either tell the truth or evade the question. However, the only time they're allowed to lie is when asked if they are the murderer. That answer will be no.

Erica Goldsmith and Beth Olliges co-directed the A.S Waterman-created show for Whodunnit Murder Mystery Theater.

Following The Twelve Murders of Christmas, Whodunnit will present The Oxford Incident. That show will open in February.
