This Friday, November 21, from 6 to 11 p.m, businesses from all across Kentucky will join forces to put on a " Family Affair ": an evening of drinks, dining, and music at Copper & Kings American Brandy [4], located at in Butchertown at 1121 East Washington Street. The event will benefit local nonprofit Family Scholar House [5], a Louisville-based nonprofit that works with single parents to give them the support they need to obtain a college degree.
The event will be held within the Butchertown distillery's outdoor courtyard. Families are invited to enjoy live music by Louisville funk rock band King Kong [6], and to savor inventive Copper & Kings brandy and Willett bourbon cocktails and numerous food options that will be available for purchase. Special kid-friendly treats and Rooibee Roo organic tea (from Louisville-based Rooibee Red Tea!) will be available.
All proceeds from this event will go to Family Scholar House. Attendees are encouraged to bring seasonal gifts for parents and children at Family Scholar House, or make a suggested $10 donation to the charity. Children ages 12 and under enter for free.
