Heartland Music Together [4] in Louisville offers authentic and diverse music classes for families throughout the Kentuckiana area. These music classes are geared toward children ages 0-4 years and their parents/caregivers. The music classes are broken up into 10 week semesters and they are currently ending their Fall 2014 session and gearing up for the Winter 2015 session which begins on January 5, 2015.

At the close of each semester, HMT offers FREE music demos in each of their class locations. Those are ongoing now through the beginning of December; there are approximately 75 class listings to try in the Highlands, Middletown, Lyndon/Westport Road area, Fern Creek, St. Matthews, New Albany, and Shelbyville. HMT recently celebrated their 10 year anniversary to a packed house at their Highlands location. They sang, danced, crafted instruments, told stories, shared memories, and welcomed renowned Music Together singer Uncle Gerry to the stage for a live concert. Director Miriam Klein recently said this of her music endeavor and her love for her own Music Together families in Louisville: “As teachers, we can measure our work in the 45-minute span it takes to get from the Hello Song to the Goodbye Song. But that’s just the smallest piece of what we do. What we do, what we truly do, is love you and your children through the vehicle of music. And we give you the tools so you can love your child the same way. How lucky we all are that we get to share this experience together!”

They are also offering a holiday interim session which is a drop in class rate of $15. It begins December 2 and is a fun way to enjoy HMT, a la carte! You will get a glimpse into some of the beloved Heartland Music Together song collection, and enjoy singing some seasonal favorites for this time of year as well.
