How Louisville Natives & UofL Products Did in the NFL’s Week 9 [2]

Here’s a quick look at how Louisville natives and University of Louisville products did in Week 9 of the NFL season.

Louisville natives

Corey Peters (Atlanta): The fifth-year defensive tackle, a Central High School graduate and former University of Kentucky standout, and his team were on a bye this week. The Falcons (2-6), who have lost five in a row, play at Tampa Bay (1-7) next Sunday.

C.J. Spillman (Dallas): The sixth-year defensive back, a Central grad and former Marshall University standout, had one tackle in the Cowboys’ 28-17 loss to Arizona. Dallas (6-3) plays at Jacksonville (1-8) next Sunday.

(Cleveland): The tight end, who is in his seventh season, had two catches for 16 yards in the Browns’ 22-17 win over Tampa Bay. Cleveland (5-3) next plays at division-rival

Cincinnati

(5-2-1) on Thursday night.

Teddy Bridgewater (Minnesota): The rookie quarterback completed 26 of 42 passes for 268 yards and one touchdown in the Vikings’ 29-26 win over Washington. Minnesota (4-5), which has won two in a row, has its bye next week.

Preston Brown (Buffalo): The rookie inside linebacker and his Bills were on their bye week this week. Buffalo (5-3) hosts Kansas City (5-3) next Sunday.

Harry Douglas (Atlanta): The wide receiver, who is in his sixth season, and his team were on a bye this week. The Falcons play at Tampa Bay next Sunday.

Elvis Dumervil (Baltimore): The outside linebacker, who is in his ninth season, had three tackles - including his team-leading eighth sack - off the bench for the Ravens in their 43-23 loss at Pittsburgh on Sunday night. Baltimore (5-4) hosts Tennessee (2-6) next Sunday.

William Gay (Pittsburgh): The cornerback, who is in his eighth season, tallied five tackles in his sixth consecutive start in the Steelers’ 43-23 win over Baltimore on Sunday night. Pittsburgh (6-3) plays at the New York Jets (1-8) next Sunday.

Breno Giacomini (New York Jets): The seventh-year offensive tackle started for the Jets in their 24-10 loss at Kansas City. New York (1-8), which has lost eight straight, hosts Pittsburgh (6-3) next Sunday.

Senorise Perry (Chicago): The rookie running back and the Bears were on their bye week this week. Chicago (3-5) plays at division-rival Green Bay (5-3) next Sunday night.

Bilal Powell (New York Jets): The fourth-year running back had five carries for 20 yards for the Jets in their 24-10 loss at Kansas City. New York (1-8) hosts Pittsburgh next Sunday.

Calvin Pryor (New York Jets): The rookie free safety only tallied one tackle for the Jets in their 24-10 loss at Kansas City. New York (1-8) hosts Pittsburgh next Sunday.

Greg Scruggs (Seattle): The third-year defensive end recorded one tackle for the Seahawks in their 30-24 victory over Oakland. Seattle (4-3) hosts the New York Giants next Sunday.

Marcus Smith (Philadelphia): The rookie linebacker didn’t play in the Eagles’ 31-21 win at Houston. Philadelphia (6-2) hosts Carolina (3-5-1) next Monday night.

Byron Stingily (Tennessee): The fourth-year offensive tackle and the Titans had their bye week this week. Tennessee (2-6) plays at Baltimore next Sunday.

Eric Wood (Buffalo): The sixth-year center, who has made 71 consecutive starts, and the Bills were on a bye this week. Buffalo (5-3) hosts Kansas City (5-3) next Sunday.
